Rejuvenating experience
On Martinique's south Atlantic coast, Anse Trabaud is a beautiful sandy beach stretching for over a kilometre between Pointe d'Enfer and Pointe Baham.
It is not very popular because it is rather difficult to get to, after 15 minutes on a winding track that passes through private property and requires payment of a right of way of €2.50 per car. (Entrance times: 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, with a compulsory exit at 6.00 pm).
Often battered by waves, this beach is popular with bodyboarders and surfers. Most of the time, the current is weak and the waves are safe for children.
