Journey to the land of traditional flavours and rhythms

Lakou A is an ecological, cultural and tourist farm in Gros Morne.
A place for sharing, passing on and remembering, its mission is to keep alive the traditional Martinique peasantry associated with the bèlè culture.
This art of living, danced, sung and told to the rhythm of the drum, is inherited from the former slaves who settled in the Mornes.

We invite you to come and discover this culture during our "Bèlè dance & culinary workshop days" every Thursday (booking required) in our haven of peace in the middle of lush countryside.

You'll be able to immerse yourself in the authentic soul of Martinique through a range of interactive workshops throughout the day:
harvesting spices from the Creole garden, a cookery workshop, an introduction to the Bèlè dance, old-fashioned games and a Lafouyetè workshop (tilling the soil to the Bèlè rhythm).

These activities are open to all ages.

At lunchtime, we'll serve a tasty local aperitif and you'll enjoy a traditional menu prepared by you using local, fresh, seasonal produce.

Emotions guaranteed!
