An arrival high in color

On Sunday November 9, the candidates and the Miss France delegation landed at Aimé Césaire airport, where they received a memorable welcome: a performance by the Grand Ballet de Martinique on the tarmac, followed by carnival entertainment with the Otantik Gerikan Bass group, lively music and a festive atmosphere. A warm and cultural first interlude, putting the 30 beauty queens right into the Martinique mood.

A total immersion and authentic

Between unspoilt forests, turquoise beaches, traditions and encounters, the candidates discovered a vibrant and welcoming Martinique. This year, the trip had a special poignancy, as the island is home to Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Miss France 2025, who guided the young women on this immersion into the heart of her native Martinique.

One week rhythmic rich and varied activities

The 30 candidates enjoyed one highlight after another, combining cultural discovery, learning and relaxation.

The trip began on November 10 with the official press conference at the Villa Chanteclerc, during which the 30 regional Misses and members of the Miss France committee were able to answer questions from the journalists who had turned out in force to cover the event.

They then went on to explore the village Transat Café L'Orin Fort-de-France, during which they were able to stroll through the various stands, interact with exhibitors and meet the Martinican public.

This meaningful trip was an opportunity for Miss France 2025, Angélique Angarni-Filopon to show the pretenders to the crown around Martinique.

She introduced them to Martinican tradition through Coiffe Maré Tèt workshops, to master the art of traditional headdresses, a Creole language course and an immersion in the heart of Fort-de-France's big market to better appreciate the authenticity of the Martinican identity.

Angélique also had the company of two former Miss France, Clémence Botino (Miss France 2020) and Amandine Petit (Miss France 2021) to accompany the candidates, on a kayak outing, and an introduction to bèlè.

The regional Misses were able to visit Martinique in all its aspects, through cultural activities, sports, nature discovery, culinary workshops and wellness.

Theirs was also a creative workshop at Village la Poterie, and a hike to the Montagne Pelée, a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2023, but also, a Visit to the Savane des Esclaves in Trois Îlets, a must-see site retracing an often overlooked part of Martinique's history.

A journey that will leave a lasting impression

This stay in Martinique was much more than a preparation stage: it was a real human experience, nourished by traditions, nature and authenticity. An intense and inspiring week, which will remain engraved in the memories of the 30 pretenders before the big night of the Miss France 2026 election. During this week, the candidates shared precious moments, between laughter, learning and group cohesion.

See you on December 6 to find out who will succeed Angélique Filopon- Agarni and win the crown.
