Almost two kilometres long, Grande Anse des Salines is undoubtedly Martinique's best-known beach.
It is truly magnificent, with its fine white sand and coconut palms leaning over the calm, brilliantly blue waters.
This mythical beach in the south of Martinique, located 5 km south of the town, stretches for more than a kilometre.
The wooded part of the site is part of the Forêt Domaniale du Littoral managed by the Office National des Forêts (ONF).
The beach is divided into three sections: Grande Anse des Salines, the largest and best-known part, Petite Anse des Salines to the west and Grande Terre des Salines to the east.
