FITTE-DUVALAs part of her Clitoria Decentia research residency, hosted by CCR Les Coulisses, dancer and choreographer Chantal Thine, together with Mariame Damba, a therapist and dancer, presents a body expression workshop centered on the body and feminine power. “Feminine Power—Roots and Metamorphoses” invites participants to explore their relationship with the body, sensations, movement, and pleasure through Afro-Brazilian dance, body expression, writing, and speech.Special attention will be given to the pelvis, grounding, and mobility, particularly through samba. Dances inspired by Oya and Oxum—deities from Yoruba and Afro-Brazilian traditions—will also provide opportunities to explore different expressions of feminine power.Sessions dedicated to reading, writing, and discussion will complement the physical practice to explore our relationship with ourselves, desire, our heritage, and sisterhood.Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.G.
